In 2004, I started this online food diary to document, and showcase, the different types of cuisine found in Hawaii. In doing so, I discovered how much I really loved food. Not just eating it, but also learning about the ingredients and flavors that make each cuisine unique and different from the next. The intent of this blog is not to review establishments, but to serve as a platform for sharing individual dining experiences in hopes that others find it useful in making their own gastronomic, and culinary, discoveries. As my life has evolved, so has this site. It now features a number of dining experiences from locales outside of our island state. From street food in Thailand and hawker centers in Singapore, to Michelin-starred restaurants in Europe, Asia and the United States, I have been fortunate enough to have experienced a wide variety of cuisines at all ends of the spectrum; high, low and everywhere in between.
